This case poses the question of whether a Georgia law requiring state police officers to retire at age 55 should be deemed “a subterfuge to evade the purposes of [the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 621-634].” We hold that the law, O.C.G.A. § 47-2-223(c), is not a “subterfuge” within the meaning of ADEA § 4
